The National Association of Students of English and literary Studies, FUOYE chapter elected a new set of executives to run the administration of the department for 2019 academic session on the 3rd of October, 2018 at faculty of Arts, department of English and literary studies.
After the manifestoes, voting began at exactly 11:28am with two apirants contesting for presidency of the association namely: Bowofola Babatunde and Oladipo Abiodun; as well as the position of the vice president: Erinoso Oluwayemisi and Bakare Pelumi while other positions were unopposed and voting came to an end at 01:40pm.
Oladipupo Abiodun Blaze emerged as the president-elect of the department with a total of 118 votes defeating his counterpart Bowofola Babatunde with the total of 93 votes.
While Erinoso Yemisi emerged as the winner for the post of vice president having a total of 120votes against Bakare Pelumi’s 90 votes.
Winners of other positions are Amodu David as General Secretary ; Adikpe Abraham as Assistant General Secretary ; Ugwu Nnenna as Financial Secretary.
Further more, Adaramewa Naomi emerged as the Social Director; Oyedele Joseph as Sport Director; Okunade Victor as Director of Information and Emmanuel Favour as Welfare Director.
Lastly, Dr. Harry Olufunwa was elected as the lecturer of the year.
