Comrade Olaosebikan Jegede has been declared the president-elect of the just concluded elections of the Faculty of Arts Students’ Association.
Although, Olaosebikan Jegede was unopposed, he was declared winner of the Fasa election held today, 9th October, 2018 having satisfied the demands of the faculty’s constitution of having atleast 60% of the total votes cast.
The constitution required the contestant(s) whether opposed or unopposed to poll atleast 60% of the total votes cast before he/she can be declared the winner.
According to the reports, Comrade Olaosebikan Jegede had above the required 60% which is 400 out of the 683 votes cast. Hence, he was declared the President-elect.
Other posts were unopposed too except for the post of Social Director which was contested by two candidates: Aderibigbe Adedolapo and Odugbawa Edwinmoore of which Adedolapo polled the highest votes 422 to defeat Edwinmoore who had 268.
The position of Vice President was won by Oriowo Anuoluwapo who was unopposed. As well as the post of Fasa SRC Speaker won by Ominuga Tosin.
