On Monday, 26th of April, a large number of students who have resumed were sighted at their faculties and in various lecture rooms.

Some of the students, who spoke with UCJ FUOYE, expressed their opinions about the resumption of academic activities, which includes attending lectures.

Ajiboye Precious, a 100 level student of the Department of History and International Relations in an interview, said that lecturer came to class to teach but some students of her department are yet to return to school.

“We had a lecture on Monday in the Faculty of Arts at The New Pavilion at 8 am.
The class was full and with my prediction half of the class turned up, although some of my colleagues are yet to resume,” Precious stated.

“It was fine because I learned a lot of things about The history of economics and the class was also interactive as well so I feel like today’s lecture was so interesting,” she added.

“All available Faculty of Science students had MTH 102 in the new Faculty of Science Auditorium, NFSA, at 10 am today.

I wasn’t physically available, but according to my course mates, there were a lot of them that showed up, but not as much as it used to be as at resumption in 2019 when we still used to have physical classes,” Adigun Taofeeq of the Department of Biochemistry explained.

Helena Idiovo, a 300 level student of the Department of History and International Studies, also added that “the population of students was large, just a few students were not around for their lecture that held by 2 pm in the lecture hall at the Faculty of Arts today.”
