iPTCH Consulting, a Human Capital Development Advisory Firm has awarded FUOYE 100 most reputable Students.
Recall that Last year, the list for FUOYE 100 most reputable students came out. According to the team,”The essence of the special recognition is to celebrate students who have been doing well in various sectors of the school.
“The criteria for selection was everyone who made Student experience and campus life eventful and exciting in 2019 (in one Category or the other).”
The award sections cut across leadership, communication, entrepreneurship, politics, faith, creativity, and others.
Speaking to one of the team members of iPTCH, Lawal Oladoyin who doubles as the official graphics designer of the event, he explained that the awards ought to have been given to the awardees on 3rd April, 2020 but the pandemic made it got extended.
However, a later date was fixed for the award presentation. On 28th May, 2021, the awardees were given their awards at Ule Fati Hall, Opposite Irona (simple eateries) junction, Oye-Ekiti.
“I’m glad I was selected, I was able to showcase my creativity skills. I was an awardee too under the creative arts category.”
He, however, explained that those who did not come on the day of the award presentation would still receive their awards after payment.
Another awardee, Aro Temidayo Mubarak who was selected under the creative arts category expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the event for not compromising standards.
“It’s indeed an honour to be recognized among thousands of students. I’m deeply honoured and impressed to see other students too in various categories recognized. It means FUOYE is meeting global standards and we’re gaining domineering relevance.”, he thought.
Another Team member and awardee, Samuel Ajala, President of National Union of Campus Journalists, Nigeria (NUCJ) commended the team for the wonderful selection process of the award.
He expressed gratitude for being awarded as one of the people making waves in the communication space through campus Journalism.
“I am really excited to be nominated under the communication category of the award as a result of my trajectory records in promoting campus Journalism in my school and Nigeria at large.
“It’s a call to responsibility and to do more for me, ” he added.
Olapade Olumide who was awarded under the Leadership category asserted his joy while speaking with UCJ FUOYE.
“A very big thank you for organizing such as it gives assurance that in whatever capacity we find ourselves as a leader. Some people are somewhere watching you.”, he surmised.
Speaking with the Convener of the event, Oluwatade Timilehin Coachfaith, he said the awards are being given to the awardees because there is the need to recognise and reward hardwork.
“It was splendid, but gladly, it left some room for improvement on the part of the organizers. I was happy we eventually had the ceremony it took a lot of strategizing.”
He continued by saying “the organizers intend to make it a annual ceremony. The vision is to make iPTCH 100 Most Reputable Award the OSCARS or ACADEMY, Headies or AMAA Award of Nigeria campus life. Suffix to say, it is once- in-a-life-time (campuslife) award.”
