The National Association of Science Students (NASS), Federal University Oye-Ekiti Chapter (FUOYE), has inaugurated its new set of executives.
The event, which took place on Wednesday, December 21st, 2022, was held at the Faculty of science lecture hall 2 and commenced at 11:05 AM.
The inauguration ceremony opened with the commissioning of the newly built NASS pavilion which is located beside the NASS venture office.

The outgoing NASS president, Comrade Awopeju Moses described the commissioning of the NASS pavilion as a perfect way to improve the comfort of the students of the association.
“Today is a significant day for all students of the Faculty of Science. I thank the outgoing executives. They were a major support to me. We saw our differences as uniqueness and diversity so we ensured that we made use of these qualities to improve the faculty. I urge the Faculty populace to take good care of this pavilion so that it can serve them better,” Awopeju stated.
Following the commissioning of the pavilion was the inauguration of the new executives. The oath of office was administered by Hon. Akinlade Josiah, the 5th Speaker of the Faculty’s 5th assembly.
The inaugurated executives and their portfolios are Adedigba Israel (President); Olowoyeye Daniel (Vice President); Akinbo Mosope (General Secretary); Afolabi Samuel (Assistant General Secretary), and Imran Ajimat (Treasurer).
Others are Osariemien Prosper (Financial Secretary); Idowu Damilola (Welfare Director); Adekunle Rokeeb (Sports Director); Ajakaye Victor (Librarian); Oguntunji Olamilekan (Social Director) and Omotayo Tolulope (Public Relations Officer).

The newly inaugurated NASS president, Adedigba Israel thanked the faculty of science students for putting their trust in him by electing him. He also stated that he would build on the legacies of the previous executives.
“I am coming up with some agendas tagged the Level Up Agenda. One of the things I want to work on is to ensure that we have a unified constitution for the faculty,” Adedigba asserted.
Hon. Akinlade also inaugurated the house members of the 6th assembly during the event.
Present at the occasion were the outgoing and incoming Students’ union executives, Faculty presidents, Departmental Presidents, Faculty stakeholders, and observers.
The inaugurated executives were elected into office on 18th November, 2022.
