The FUOYE Students’ Union Senate Council (FUOYESUSC) 5th Assembly, has reinstated Eniola Onitilo as its Senate President.
In a letter dated 28th of November, 2022, and jointly signed by the Acting Senate President and the Senate Clerk, Awemokhe Emmanuel and Olanrewaju Seun respectively, the decision was made following an emergency meeting of the council on the 27th of November, 2022 after it received a report from the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee.
Recall that Mr Onitilo was suspended as the Senate President on the 10th of November, 2022 for allegedly interrupting the FUOYESUSC emergency meeting, attempting to hijack the mace and disrupt the legislative proceedings.
The Statement fully reads:
“This is to notify all that Sen Onitilo Eniola has been reinstated as the Senate President. FUOYESUSC at the Emergency Sitting held on Sunday 27th November, 2022 after the Senate Council received reports and recommendation from the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee.
“Sen. Onitilo Eniola is to resume duty immediately as the SENATE PRESIDENT.”
